About
Jillian Rose is a Brooklyn based installation and sculpture artist. She studied at The College of Santa Fe (Santa Fe University of Art and Design) and Harvestworks in New York.
Rose works with tile, glass, dried paint, clay and metal. Using small pieces in accumulative repetition, these materials mimic moss or fungus mounted on found wood and miscellaneous furniture. Her work is inspired by decomposition and growth in nature and the parallel to our social environment and self-introspection.
Rose has shown at Big Irv’s, Governors Island Art Fair, Wayfarers Brooklyn, The Shambhala Center, Brooklyn Fire Proof and The Merce Cunningham studio.
